The Rattery And Me
My name is Chelsea "Totem" North. I am currently based in Plattekloof Glen, Western Cape. My day job is as a dog trainer and behaviourist, and my passion lies with knowing what makes my animals tick. Before I bred rats, I bred budgies. One day I hope to get back into it, but for right now my rats keep me on my toes.
The idea of breeding rats started in 2018 when I got a trio of girls from Calico Rattery. I received a buck, the uncle of my girls, and 2 unrelated roan rats. Thus began my breeding journey. 2 years later and the roan line is still going strong. Our blue line is slowly working its way back into our breeding plans, and we have since picked up a few more exciting genes to work with.
We are an URC Registered and Approved rattery, and are proud to be a part of such a fantastic international community of breeders.
